International Training Programme on Disability and Inclusive Development

Module description

One week programme is designed to equip the managers from across sectors with appropriate attitudes, perspectives, knowledge and skill sets necessary for facilitating inclusive development actions and processes for all including persons with disabilities.

Well known and reputed, both technical and managerial experts from wide and diverse background such as disabled activists, social entrepreneur, professionals, academicians, practitioners, corporate bureaucrats and human rights activists will facilitate the sessions

Participatory learning methods such as simulation, activity based learning, self-learning, peer interactions, debate, swomp, social games, group work, FGD, field work, brainstorming, mind mining, deep diving ETC is adopted for the training programme.

The programme content covers a wide range of issues concerning disability and inclusive development. The key elements include; politics of exclusion, inclusive development in policy and practice, tools for inclusive development, national and international human rights framework, strategic directions for inclusive development, empowerment and inclusion through critically examining the landscape of development actions and process in terms of transferability, scalability and sustainability.
